“The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body, and polish the spirit.”
Aikido is more than a collection of techniques, it is a way of moving, a way of thinking, a way of being. Come and explore the core of aikido practice. We’ll delve more into the principles and foundations of practice as we focus on breathing, posture and tai sabaki (body movements), tori and atemi (grabs and strikes), giving and receiving ukemi, and more. Workshop will include ukemi practice, but will involve much more.
All experience levels and affiliations welcome.
“A good stance and posture reflect a proper state of mind.”
Morihei Ueshiba, O-Sensei
